Collection: Fougère Fragrances

A fougère perfume is not a single ingredient but rather an olfactory accord, or a specific combination of notes that create a classic, recognizable scent.

Historically, the fougère family was born with the creation of Fougère Royale by Houbigant in 1882. While it was initially intended for women, it quickly became a staple in men's perfumery and is now most commonly associated with classic masculine scents. They are often described as clean, barbershop-like, and fresh, but with a sophisticated, earthy depth.

Modern fougères have evolved, and perfumers often add other notes to the core structure, such as citrus, spices, or woods, to create new variations. However, the core identity remains the same: a green, aromatic, and fresh-yet-warm scent that is both timeless and versatile.
